When I was four, I’d go with my grandfather to job sites, where I’d spend the day gathering broken bricks and mortar to build a village. I can easily picture myself there, being given a penny for every nail I’d pick up, the smell of saw dust in the air, and the roly polys I’d collect for my tiny village I’d been creating.

It’s safe to say that I’ve been around construction my whole life, so it was very fitting that I married someone who designs and builds homes, but even with this surrounding me day-to-day, it wasn’t a career I thought I’d go into…it was just something on the side that I always loved.

That was until I moved into Cabbagetown and worked with my neighbors to create the Cabbagetown Neighborhood Improvement Association. Every time a house went on the market, I’d reach out to realtors with neighborhood packets to give to prospective buyers, trying to create buzz around the community I was working to call home. One of the realtors stopped me one day and said, “People go their whole lives trying to get paid to do something they love, you should consider getting your real estate license.”

It was 1998 when I first launched my real estate career, quickly catching the eye of a builder who was impressed by the way I had handled a deal. He gave me the chance to work on a townhome project and then another as that one came to close. From there, I continued to generate more new construction business until I began adding team members and slowly creating a team of great realtors and staff. I take great pride in motivating and coaching my team and being a part of their successes.

Over the years we’ve represented everyone on the buying and selling spectrum – from first time home buyers with special financing to a builder/developer creating a brand new community. Now joining forces with Marc [Takacs] and Rick [Hale] to form RPM Home Advisors gives us an even stronger team of specialists that are equipped with the skills and knowledge to serve any type of client in every scenario.

Having lived in Intown Atlanta since 1991 and having my kids go through the Atlanta Public School system, I’m a huge proponent of creating, supporting, and growing a system that will keep our city thriving. During my free time, I enjoy taking our dogs to different hiking trails in Georgia and North Carolina or hanging out with my friends, trying out new cooking and cocktail recipes.

After all of these years of living and working in Atlanta, I’m still amazed how the pockets of neighborhoods are interconnected, giving you a small town feel in an urban setting. The RPM Group Home Advisors team is excited to help make one of these communities your next home.
